Arch .. one word you'll hear a lot if you're learning to skydive
Big Way skydive with a large number of participants
Canopy Loading expresses the relation of a jumpers weight to the canopy size ( 1:1 for a 170 lbs jumper flying a 170 sft canopy)
Cutaway the act of releasing a malfunctioning main parachute in order to clear the air for the deploying reserve parachute
Cypress very common brand of AAD; made by Airtec
D Bag Deployment bag; protective bag in which the parachute is packed while inside the container, with the lines stowed on the bag for an orderly opening sequence
Dirt Dive rehearsal of an upcoming skydive on the ground, sometimes using 'creepers' (with little wheels so you can lay down and practice stuff in the right position)
Ditter little gadget that fits inside a helmet and emits a beeping 3 tone sound for 3 different altitudes
Dive Flow or dive plan; meaning the sequence of events during a skydive
Drogue small round parachute that's used on tandem rigs to stabilize the pair during freefall and then used as a pilot chute during deployment by releasing it
Exit Frame if you'd freeze a skydiving video at the moment when all participants have just left the door, you'd look at the point in time that's referred to as exit frame
Exit Order the order in which different groups leave the airplane
Flare the act of applying progressive pressure on the steering toggles, causing the canopy to create more lift and thereby reducing forward speed (you need it to land)
Free Fall Drift the distance skydivers get pushed by 'upper winds' without actually flying in that direction
Free Flying sitting position, head down position, standing up position and transitions between those during the skydive as opposed to the traditional belly-to-earth
Hook Turn last second 180 degree turn, into the wind, under canopy; a maneuver that's apparently responsible for a majority of nasty accidents in recent years
Jump Run the last leg of the flight right over the target, during which jumpers exit the airplane
Low Pull happens if you space out a little and go below your usual pull altitude
Pro Track skydiving gadget that records all kinds of data about the skydive and acts as an audible altimeter as well
Pull, deploy, pitch, dump etc. releasing the main parachute by pulling the deployment handle
Spaceball usually a tennis ball filled with the correct amount of lead shot or sand, in order to fall at a certain speed, matching RW fall rates or free fly fall rates (all for fun)
Static Line in skydiving means a solid deployment line that's attached to the airplane and guarantees instant container opening right after exiting the aircraft
Swooping

1. freefall: diving (after a formation) and slowly returning to belly-to-earth, thus closing in an arc that flattens out
2. canopy: flying and landing the canopy in a manner that allows pilots to swoop or glide along the ground for a considerable distance before actually landing

Wingsuit specially made suit with inflatable wings under the arms and between the legs
Zero P Zero Porosity, fabric designation, meaning no air passes through this material; used for canopy construction

Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane ?
Because they left the door open !
MY DRINKING CLUB HAS A SKYDIVING PROBLEM !
Skydivers know why birds sing:
They don't have to re-pack every time they go flying
